1 Introduction

1.1 This policy shall apply to all persons attending a CWSF including but not limited to delegates, finalists, judges, provincial organization representatives, past, present and future host committees, and guests.

1.2 Disputes related to CWSF judging shall be governed by Youth Science Canada Policy 3.1.4.1 CWSF Judging – Requests for Information & Appeals.

2 Dispute Resolution Process

2.1 In situations where there is a disagreement at the CWSF and resolution cannot be achieved amongst the parties concerned, the Chair of the NSFC, in consultation with the Executive Director, shall act as a mediator/arbitrator and attempt to mediate the dispute.

2.2 If a solution cannot be reached by mediation, the Chair of the NSFC shall decide the case. This decision shall be binding on all parties involved in the dispute.

2.3 Decisions under this policy may be appealed in compliance with Youth Science Canada Policy 1.5.3. Appeals Policy.

2.4 If the dispute directly involves the Chair of the NSFC, dispute resolution shall be conducted by the past chair of the NSFC in consultation with the Executive Director.
